Profile a CSV file

Drop or paste a CSV and see, column by column, how many cells are blank, repeated, padded with spaces or start with a leading zero, before you import or clean it. Nothing is converted or removed.

Runs on this device. No upload, account or tracking.

Your CSV

UTF-8, up to 500 KB, read on this device
    Empty

The first row is the header. Header names must be non-empty and unique.

    Options

Cells are compared exactly as written. Spaces-only cells count as blank.

Up to 500 KB of UTF-8, 5,000 rows and 100 columns. Observations only: no types are inferred, and the report holds counts and lengths, never your cell values.

    About this tool

    What this tool does

Profile every column of a CSV file in your browser: blank cells, distinct and repeated values, leading zeros, stray spaces, text lengths and duplicate rows, without changing or uploading the file.

    Limits and safe use

Up to 500 KB of UTF-8, 5,000 rows and 100 columns. Observations only: no types are inferred, and the report holds counts and lengths, never your cell values. Use the counts to decide how to clean or import the file. Numeric-looking columns such as IDs or postcodes are not converted, and nothing is sent to a server or a model.
